GIA Running Club
“Hey everyone!
GIA will be launching a new “GIA running club” where we will be meeting every Wednesday at 17.45! This is in part a belated new year’s resolution but also because the Geneva Marathon is coming up (details available at the very bottom). Everyone is welcome! Whether you are a keen runner, you have never run before, or you’re at a level in between, please come down and get involved. On the day, go at your pace and do as much as you can .
The first meet will be next Wednesday (15th of February) at the entrance to the Bains des Pâquis (Officiel).
For our first run, we have attached in the event banner a picture of the 5km route. This will pass along the lake front, the park Mon Repos (Check Point1), the Jardin Botanique (Check Point 2), the US Permanent Mission (Check Point 3), Parc de l’Ariana (Check Point 4) before finally passing through the park Mon Repos again (Check Point 5).

The Geneva marathon is on the horizon (the weekend of the 7th of May). For those that are interested there is the possibility of signing up for the full marathon, the half marathon, a 10K, the Genevoise (around 6,5 km for ladies only) or, in groups of up to 6, a relay along the route (the stages are between 4 and 10kms). For further details check out the website: https://
This could be a great way of giving us all a gentle push along!
Looking forward to seeing you there!”
Hi there,
I just started my internship in Geneva and I’d love to join the running club. Do I need to sign up? Or just simply show up? And.. another stupid question.. if I go right after work, is there a place to store my bag?
Thanks in advance!
