A Huge Step Forward for WHO Internships
Last week we shared news that the World Health Organisation was going to “with immediate effect”… “offer health insurance to all current and future interns in all duty stations”. Well, the good news doesn’t end there!
The WHO resolution Reform of the global internship programme was discussed at the World Health Assembly on the 24th of May. The resolution was passed without any amendments and one of its key point is “the provision by the Secretariat of financial” … “for all accepted interns without sufficient existing support, at a level set for the duty station, to cover reasonably incurred travel and living expenses for the duration of the internship”
